Mt.Pico de loro, 664 MASL was given a 3/9 classification with minor specification by Pinoy Mountaineer. It is known for its Monolith or the parrot’s beak.

How to Get There

1. By public transportation, Best starting point is at Coastal Mall terminal : Take a bus bound to Ternate, Cavite. From the Ternate Terminal, take a tricycle ride to DENR.

2. By private transportation: Take the CAVITEX all the way to Naic, Cavite. Then, take the road to Ternate, Cavite, after Naic. Go past the Puerto Azul resort and you’ll find DENR.

Trail

What I like about Mt Pico de Loro is the trail was surrounded or fenced with tall trees which make shades for trekkers. Good to protect our skin from the rays of the sun. There are also some part of the trail wherein relaxing sounds of mini waterfalls will be heard along the trail.

If you already conquered Mt.Pico de Loro this past years please be remind that last February 2015 they closed the old trail and opened a new one which more easier than the latter one.

At Base Camp

You will be greeted by the scenic view of the Summit of Mt.Pico De loro and its pride which is the Monolith when you reached at the base camp or the foot of this mountain.

At The Summit

The picturesque view from the summit was really amazing, enough to make the hardships from the trail worthwhile. The view of the Monolith from the summit was stunning making it worth visiting over and over again.
