Hi ! my name is Rasty. I grew up in a small valley in Laguna and that probably explains my close affinity to nature and outdoors. I am currently living in one of the busiest cities in the Philippines and currently having a 9-5s job.

I am a happy blogger who loves to write about my life experiences. I made a personal blog to inspire people to realize that life is amazing.
I started this blog middle of 2013 as my online journal where I could write about good and bad memories of my everyday life. It’s first name was “A desperate blogger”. I don’t really have an explanations why I chose that name. I just liked it. But a friend told me that A Desperate Blogger was not really catchy because its too negative. So I decided to change it to TAKAW LAKBAY.

TAKAW in tagalog literally means "greedy" but hell no! I am not greedy. So for me it means "big eater". While LAKBAY in tagalog means "travel". I chose this name because whenever I am travelling I never forget to try new foods, and discover the taste of local foods. TAKAW LAKBAY could also mean "backpacker, wanderer or whatever you call a traveller.
You can see here my travel experiences both local and abroad. I also share the sample of my itineraries, budget breakdown, facts about places and a travel guide. I also post OOTD’s and some food and movie reviews.
