One of many things I love about Taal Heritage town is most of the restaurants has its own original old Hispanic concepts. This is what a history fan boy like me dream of - to experience eating in a place surrounded by period pieces from the bygone Spanish era. isn’t it ideal? This is what lovely about Taal. You'll get to see historical places and houses which are still preserved and open for public viewing. This town is also not only home of heritage houses, it is also home to many good restaurants that would make you want to come back there again.

Me and my friend Clara decided to make a day visit to Taal Heritage Town. It was lovely blessed Sunday and me and my friend decided to have a day visit to Taal heritage town. We arrived in town a little early in the morning and the sun started to drench on this beautiful place. We were having a walk around to discover the place when we discovered this restaurant called Paradores Del Castillo just few blocks away from Taal municipal market. What a perfect timing since we were starving already. We went inside and we learned that it’s not only a restaurant. It’s also a bed and breakfast hotel which perfect for a relaxing stay for a night or more. ( I will definitely go back here to stay for a night.)

We went inside and we were greeted by a kind receptionist. I actually didn’t really notice her because I was feeling amazed when I saw the collectors items, antiques and different period pieces that was hanging and scattered inside the ancestral house. I started to inspect each pieces and I was really sure that it was all preserved from their ancestors. According to the receptionist Paradores del Castillo was originally a large home of Dr. Hermenegildo Del Castillo and his wife Leonor Inumerable Sanchez (Maybe they are my ancestors Lol!) built in 1900’s.

This Bed-and Breakfast hotel is located on Calle Dr. H Del Castillo, a few meters from Casa Villavicencio and Virgin of Casaysay Church. It offers an array of delectable recipes. They have a great selection of Filipino and Italian inspired flavors. I got the Lasagna Paradores while my friend Clara had the Penne Alla Puttanesca. Both were beautifully platted.

Lasagna Paradores Php168.00

Lasagna Paradoes Php168.00

Penne Alla Puttanesca Php148.00

Fresh Ripe Mango Php88.00

They also sell variety of local condiments for Pasalubong.

One thing I really love about Paradores Del Castillo was the staffs being so attentive. Everyone was kind and always smiling. There were even asking if we needed anything. I was also impress about its location. The ambiance was just so relaxing. It feels really good to eat while embracing the fresh air and overlooking the rest of Taal town.
