I was really surprise to discover the Brickfields. This is a medium-sized town located just outside central Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia and also known as Kuala Lumpur's Little India due to the high percentage of Indian residents and businesses. This is the first place I have explored in Kuala Lumpur. It was actually unexpected. I didn't know about this place and I never heard about it before. But due to my craving for Chicken Tandoori, my searching leads me to Brickfields Little India.

Brickfields, Little India is a bustling street. There are shops selling traditional Indian clothes, candies, savories and all types of Indian cuisines, making the street attractive and simply colorful.

While walking along the street, I asked someone where is the best place to eat? He suggested the Restoran Sri Kortumalai. I immediately went there to find a table. After checking their menu I ordered Chicken Tandoori. But when my order arrived I was so disappointed because it wasn’t what I expected. The chicken was so dry and didn’t have a good color and it did not taste good.

I was brokenhearted. I came here for chicken tandoori and it was disappointing. So I checked the menu again and asked the crew what is their best sellers. He then suggested me the Banana Leaf Rice which is literally served on a banana leaf with rice, dry chicken curry, rasam, papadam, Dried Chillis, Tairu, assorted vegetables and Indian side dishes.

They also sell a variety of Indian delicacies, savories, sweets and candy.

There's not much things to do at Little India. But if you are fond of Indian culture then this place is definitely perfect for you. You'll find here an Indian cuisines, traditional and modern Indian clothes, and some handicrafts that you will only find at brickfields Little India.

Transport
